Oh wouldn't a "Bruced" list be fun .

I got Bruced by 100 miles at the Red Bluff MS. state tag , but it was worth it . They all are .

Haha, that would be interesting. The way it's going now I'll have more "bruced" tick marks than actual tags

They are all definitely worth it though, several of the tags I've seen on here are on my list of places to ride whenever I get time.

That is what I want to do. When I don't have an active tag waiting, I want to try to map out routes that swing by old tag locations so I can get a picture at every one!!

I forgot to mention something I encountered on my tag ride today. I got a chance to try out one of the mobile Jack Russell speed bumps today at 40 mph

I ran over a Sheltie with my Trail 70 WOT{40mph}

when I was a kid. To this day I don't know how I stayed on two wheels. The dog stayed on four legs as well.

Yep. It was the only way across for a long time. Someone ran into one of the supports years ago and caused it to be "dangerous," so they built a new one.

That's why it's called a swinging bridge . It is supported by cables . The fun part about it was when you stopped on the bridge to feel your car swinging back and forth . It wasn't so much that it was unsafe as that people were trying to drive vehicles over it that it wasn't designed to handle . Growth in the area mandated a new way to get across the river. The new bridge was built in the early '80s .

What Trophy is referring to didn't happen till after the new bridge was open . Both bridges were open for traffic till someone nailed a support and got hurt . That's when it was decided to close the swinging bridge.

I had to get this one, I had been waiting, patiently. Had the new location picked out weeks ago.
The Bridge on Rosemary Rd.

my son was with me, he was looking for Ug. Until, I explained the local tag, rules.

Here is the new location, it is closely related to the previous tag location.

Status: Open to traffic
History: Built ca. 1950
Design: Pony truss
Dimensions: Length of largest span: 155.8 ft.
Total length: 347.0 ft.
Deck width: 15.1 ft.
Average daily traffic (as of 2006): 150

And Byram Swinging Bridge:

Overview: Wire suspension bridge over Pearl River
Status: Open to pedestrians
History: Built 1905 by W.H. Groome Son; Bypassed by new bridge in 1989
Design: Swinging suspension bridge
Recognition: Posted to the National Register of Historic Places on May 23, 1979

Wrong , bridge not open to traffic at this point in time . Only local 4 wheeler traffic and of course , ADV riders .
