There are two gates which are only open during hunting seasons (Late Fall & Early Spring).

You'll need to check the USFS for Geoge Washington Forest for the exact openings each year.

The first gate is on the "Main Event" track. There is an alternate/optional loop shown in red. Second Moutain intersects/US-33. There is a gate about 1 mile into Second Moutain. If not during hunting season, you can either ride down and back up Second Moutain from ATV Entrance on Long Run, or somehow else re-reroute totally around it.

The other gate is on the "Cool Down" track. You leave US-250 from Monterray. About 3 miles out of town, you turn onto Sounding Knob. The gate is about 1 mile on Sounding Knob. It is also gated on the far end where Sounding Knob intersects WV-678. If not during hunting season, keep on US-250 to WV-678, then pick the track back up to continue.
