They'll gross around $7m if they meet that lower figure. That doesn't sound like a viable business plan to me.

Soooo.......

...it is indeed vaporware for now.

I hope they make it.

I sat on the prototype and it had THE perfect riding position, and this short legged shrimp could flat foot it with sneakers on.

THAT is enough to get me excited. I'm easy.

What happens if the bike itself is actually a loss leader item for Motus. What happens if the bike is simply a demonstration platform for the engine with the intent to sell the motors as products for race cars and after market motors for under powered cars like the Miata?

Then I hope GB locks this cluster of a thread and casts it down into 'Needless Dickery', where it belongs...

Really?

"Lock up the thread"?

I thought the whole point of a forum is to have a discussion.

If you don't like the conversation, go for a ride.

Jeez, people. Lighten up out there. We are talking about cool motorcycles, not World Peace or the heartbreak of Psoriasis.

Man, some of you guys need to get laid or something.

I'm still waiting on a Dyno chart and a real world MPG number.

Is a MPG figure on a $30,000 motorcycle really necessary? If the thing gets 20mpg, and runs on Dom Perignon, anyone shelling out the kind of dough required to by a "toy" doesn't really care.

I wonder if folks plopping down the cash for a Lexus LFA ask, "what kind of mileage does she get?". It's like some one buying a Prius and asking, "what's it do in the quarter?" LOL!

I'll never be rich enough to own anything like the Motus, but you can bet if I was, I'd be more interested in how much it was going to cost me when the cops caught me speeding than the fuel mileage.

Yes, because we can't all complain about GDI being removed from the engine if the fuel economy is good!

That actually is a relevant criterion in a sport-tourer, not because of the cost of gas, but because of its implications for range. Bikes carry a pretty limited fuel supply, and a good sport-tourer ought to have a range on one tank of close to 200 miles, or more.
