Honda is after a m/c world market and has FI on 50cc, 125cc & 250cc bikes.
The monkey 50cc can get >200mpg & the 125cc >140mpg. These are produced in India.

I hope Motus has made the right call.

motus will do very well.they were very astute to do pro-longed testing
the fact that they shit-canned the di is a good thing, for now.it shows they are honest and have integ -gritty
di may work for them in the future but it dint come any where near in defining the machine
The machine they have stands proud, the fueling is a minor bit,for now anywaY

Umm... Double clutch transmission? Frames shared between bike and scooter models? Using their car engine technology in bike engines? DN-01? (undoubted disaster though that bike was...) It might not be the stuff that you are interested in, but I'd say Honda are actually the only ones of the big four who are trying something original.

Sure, either them, or Polaris.
I'm sure it would be a better bet than whatever shit you have for sale. Seems like you just shit on just about everything.

Talked to the Motus guys today. The direct injection issue is a dealership servicing issue. Too many dealers didn't want to invest in training techs to service it, so for now at least it is on the shelf. It will likely be available at some point in the future. It is so nice to be able to talk to the people running the company. They are definitely motorcycle enthusiasts. I wish I could buy one now, but they are out of my price range for now. I sure hope they are successful for the long term.

You just proved my point. Honda is trying to turn motorcycles into two-wheeled cars.

Attention whore

Honda & BMW both started as manufactures of post war motorcycles and went on to be respected automobile companies.
So what is wrong with divisions sharing tech?

This is a Motus thread and i look forward to a production bike review.

Even with FI several maps could really add to range.

So do I. Honestly, I'm very excited that this bike even exists. I know I can't afford it, but I think what the guys at Motus are trying to do is just awesome. We so desperately need American motorcycles that aren't cruisers!!!

Are the bikes on display at Daytona the same two that toured the country? Or are they new ones?

Polaris is a strong and well established. While they have made a few questionable desisions of late in how they are going to grow they are large enough to absorb a loss should they choose to pull the plug on one of their endevors. Triumph is private and growing at a very respectable pace as is Harley Davidson.

Not sure what about "nail 1" got you so spun up?

Relax. Go have a piece of pie… Only take one small bite though and savor it while it lasts.

I like a lot about the Motus and would like to see it survive. Who knows? Maybe Polaris will buy it up and make a go of it. Or is it going to end up being another great idea with bad timing fading from memory…

Agree. So how do we go about convincing people to buy them instead of the feet forward bikes?

(it is slowly happening... But it is painfully slow)

OK, so Motus said they were going to announce prices, acc, and dealers. Any word yet in Daytona?
