When being a Fan goes too far?

Here in the greater Seattle area, people paint their houses Seahawks colors, name their kids after Seahawks, and Tatoo Beastmode on their taints.
At what point do you intervene? I have enjoyed the games, but these people are freeks, wtf?

Way too many fans actually think they are part of the team instead of just people being fleeced for the price of a ticket and $8 for a watered down beer. I like it when before the game its "We are going to kick their asses". After the game its "They lost"!

Seahawks fans here have really gone overboard with the whole obnoxious 12th man crap, you'd think they were part of the team. I've been here a year and I'm already dreading this football season. It's a bit funny listening to people talk here and then they would say something like "Well, the chargers are good but they don't have the 12th man"...

That said, shame they can't get behind the mariners a little more than they currently do. I suspect this is a town that likes a winner, much like DC. I saw a poll earlier this year that was close to 70% of respondents said this season was a failure if they don't make it to the playoffs. First time in like 7 years they will likely finish above .500, I'd be pretty pleased. Team is headed in the right direction.

As an O's fan, it's party time when they finish above .500 so this year is epic.

Living in Vancouver where knuckle-headed asshats have rioted twice when the Canucks lost "big games" I find Seattle fans refreshing and generally harmless.

I have had Seahawks tickets (4) for 12 years and give them away as client gifts.

I had Mariner Tickets ( the Friday -Sunday) packs which is about 40 games with parking for 4 years.

The Seahawks ticket holder experience is first class and the Mariners treated my clients like crap. A lot of my clients ride and they would show up on a MC for a game and go to park in the parking lot when we had a spot reserved. That lot had 10 MC spots and they refused to let my clients park in a car spot with a valid car pass.

The parking pass agreement was not vehicle specific

This went on for a few years and the Mariners just paid lip service and every time said to would never happen again, but it did. One weekend I rode down and was inline when the lot opened and the lot manager refused me access to a parking spot until I paid for MC parking.

I wrote the President of the Mariners and explained that when they replaced the parking lot attendent as director of customer satisfaction I would renew. I never heard back, at that point season ticket sales were around 13,000 and they won games as often as a 400 pound 60 year old gets laid

As a corporate ticket buyer I would never give the Mariners a dime.

Your best plan is to buy Tickets on the NFL Ticket exchange.

I give all my tickets to clients or take clients to the game. The scalper prices are crazy and tickets in my section for the Denver Seattle game were 800-1,000 a seat

The Paramount Hotel in Seattle isa decent place to stay, I am there now and going to the Rain Game tomorrow.

It's just stupid. Take a drive around yakima and 1/2 the people you see are wearing seahawks clothes(or tattoo's). Then they get in their car, that has seahawks stickers and flags on it( or painted up with seahawks logo's on the side of it) They drive to their house, which has "12th man pride" painted on it 6ft high, and is flying a 6x9 ft flag with "12th" on it above the American flag.

It's become a new religion.

I'm waiting for them to suck again, it's going to be hilarious.

It's all ok until you start getting your tattoo's on your dog.

If dog is code for penis, what's wrong with that?
