The NFL has declared the Broncos win a forfeit.

Here's the statement coming out of New York late tonight:

"Upon further review, it has been determined that during today's New England-Denver game at Invesco Field, the Broncos were in fact guilty of wearing uniforms too hideous to be tolerated by any rational human being. Starting at around 1pm local time, St. Anthony North Hospital reported what hospital officials describe as a "tsunami" of intelligent people of good taste and breeding who had symptoms such as unstoppable vomiting, diarrhea, bleeding of the eyeballs and brain seizures.

"In addition, English confectioner Cadbury-Schweppes this evening filed a patent violation lawsuit against the NFL and the Denver Broncos jointly. The suit claims that the Broncos stole their uniform design from Cadbury's popular sweet, the Humbug.

"As part of settlement negotiations between the NFL and Cadbury-Schweppes, the NFL has agreed to declare the Broncos win forfeit. Additionally, the NFL commits to taking out back and shooting dead anyone who ever wears that ugly ass uniform again."

Belichick knows he has to have a great start or suffer the consequences. Check. The Patriots looked incredible and unflappable in the first half.....right up until the Broncos made their halftime adjustments and shut them down.

That was a fantastic win for Denver. And for anyone who says there isn't passion in the NFL, I refer them to McDaniels fist pumping the crowd at the end of the game. Great stuff.

Well, Bailey shut down Moss for all but one play.

Welker got his catches, but with the game on the line, Mini-Me put Bailey on him and left Moss alone. Moss was done.

Mini-Me stumped the master on a few formations, the "Wild Horses" formation got ol' Bill to call timeout so he could adjust.

I figured Prater would kick a bunch of FG's because I gave too much credit to the Patsy Defense. Orton leading the 90+ yard drives was also unexpected.

Kudos to the Mustard/Brown version of the Broncos. Bring on the Chargers!

... that was pretty cool, and quite a release for him. As you can see by this (these) threads, Bronco Country has been trying to get a make on our new, young coach. Sports talk leading up to this day was decidedly mixed and cautionary. Monday morning, McDaniels now has Bronco Country citizenship

The Broncos wore their 1960 throwback uniforms on Sunday, demonstrating beyond any doubt that life in America in 1960 was miserable. In a truly free society, clothing like that would not happen.
