Breaking news.

The NFL has declared the Broncos win a forfeit.

Here's the statement coming out of New York late tonight:

Quote:
"Upon further review, it has been determined that during today's New England-Denver game at Invesco Field, the Broncos were in fact guilty of wearing uniforms too hideous to be tolerated by any rational human being. Starting at around 1pm local time, St. Anthony North Hospital reported what hospital officials describe as a "tsunami" of intelligent people of good taste and breeding who had symptoms such as unstoppable vomiting, diarrhea, bleeding of the eyeballs and brain seizures.

"In addition, English confectioner Cadbury-Schweppes this evening filed a patent violation lawsuit against the NFL and the Denver Broncos jointly. The suit claims that the Broncos stole their uniform design from Cadbury's popular sweet, the Humbug.

"As part of settlement negotiations between the NFL and Cadbury-Schweppes, the NFL has agreed to declare the Broncos win forfeit. Additionally, the NFL commits to taking out back and shooting dead anyone who ever wears that ugly ass uniform again."

You know, this sort of stuff is beneath you, Waxy. I thought for sure you'd be all warm and fuzzy after the Falcons won and you know, be willing to admit HOW $%&@#!$%!@#%& WRONG YOU ARE!

But nooooo, you come back with this east coast drivel about the uniforms causing a forfeit. Shame, shame, shame!

Nice interview with Kyle Orton at halftime of Colts-Titans tonight.

You liked them?

I refer you to the part of the NFL statement about "intelligent people of good taste and breeding."

I'm up for a third Broncos thread. Two is never enough.

Anyone else game?

I vote for a thread merge to a single Bronco Country thread

My predictions: the aftermath

Well, by independant thinker I didn't mean using the wildcat formation. Sheesh! But hey, NE still has some leaders on defense, right? Right??!!(sound of crickets chirping.....)

Hmmm, lemmesee, Orton won't set the world on fire. Orton = 330 yards passing. I was wrong

Looks like I nailed this one! Royal has to step up. Check!

Brady will have a hard time barking signals. Wrong. He did fine, he just didn't execute.

Belichick knows he has to have a great start or suffer the consequences. Check. The Patriots looked incredible and unflappable in the first half.....right up until the Broncos made their halftime adjustments and shut them down.

I admit that I was wrong with this point except to admit that those uniforms should be burned.

Next week's prediction: 27-17 San Diego. F*ck you Phillip Rivers.

Brady had another terrible game in Denver. I wonder what his issue is there?

That was a fantastic win for Denver. And for anyone who says there isn't passion in the NFL, I refer them to McDaniels fist pumping the crowd at the end of the game. Great stuff.

The Marquee match up will be Welker against DJ Williams from the slot. If the Broncos cover the slot, they'll be in business.

Still, I think the old master will have a thing or two for the boy-wonder. I'll be cheering my head off til the final whistle, but knowing that the Broncos will be dressed like the Browns makes me nervous.
Well, Bailey shut down Moss for all but one play.

Welker got his catches, but with the game on the line, Mini-Me put Bailey on him and left Moss alone. Moss was done.

Mini-Me stumped the master on a few formations, the "Wild Horses" formation got ol' Bill to call timeout so he could adjust.

I figured Prater would kick a bunch of FG's because I gave too much credit to the Patsy Defense. Orton leading the 90+ yard drives was also unexpected.

Kudos to the Mustard/Brown version of the Broncos. Bring on the Chargers!

... that was pretty cool, and quite a release for him. As you can see by this (these) threads, Bronco Country has been trying to get a make on our new, young coach. Sports talk leading up to this day was decidedly mixed and cautionary. Monday morning, McDaniels now has Bronco Country citizenship

The Wild Horse offense ... whodathunk it

just a bunch of haters:

The Broncos wore their 1960 throwback uniforms on Sunday, demonstrating beyond any doubt that life in America in 1960 was miserable. In a truly free society, clothing like that would not happen.
