Raider and Bronco fans like to think that the perceived rivalry still has significance.

I guess. But I can tell you that the steam went out of the Redskins-Cowboys rivalry when both teams were bad.

The same dynamic is in play here as well.

As a life long Bronco fan, I have shifted my attention to the Bolts as rivalry games.

Oh geez.

Stick with the Chiefs. They're more in line from a talent standpoint.

Broncos are closer to the Chiefs than they are to the Chargers. IMHO.

Raiders and the Broncos are pretty close.

Gannon has spent this whole game sucking up. "A brilliant football guy..."
on drafting their kicker, "a really smart first round pick..."

As long as Al Davis can fog a mirror, the Broncos v Raiders will always be a rivalry. Whether that particular rivalry game means anything is an entirely different question. I like it when you go into Raider Natio..., err, Raider Ghetto and make the halloween set look more foolish than they already are

I was thinking today, "I know the economy is bad, but I'd think that would be a boon for Raider's fans. More drugs sold, more prostitution... Why can't they afford to go to games? Or is it they are too busy."

Yeah, the Broncos have a coach who gets the most out of talent. The Chargers have a coach who gets the least.

and the Raiders have the Cable Guy.

I remember back when Commitment to Excellence actually seemed to mean something. I remember when the Raiders were regular winners and I hated them and always rooted for them to lose.

It's hard to believe the franchise has become a joke and its owner a seemingly bitter, out-of-touch paranoid tyrant bereft of good judgment.

Strange days for the Raiders. I hate to say it, but 80 year old Al Davis will have to die before the franchise improves in a fundamental way.
