I really want to believe that McD is a unproven genius and despite all of the naysayers Tebow will be brilliant. I really want to believe... But much like Santa Claus I just can't bring my self to believe.

He's got a Heisman Trophy and National Championship already in the bag. He's got the humility to realize that he needed to change his game to compete at the next level. With his work ethic, I believe he'll make it in the NFL.

He's not being asked to resurrect a floundering franchise (Rams) and he's not being asked to come in and start right away (Bradford). I like his chances.

And besides, many teams have proven you don't need an absolute superstar QB to make it to the Super Bowl. In the past 6 years, here's some names that have started at QB in the Super Bowl

Jake Delhomme
Matt Hasselback
Rex Grossman
and a 37 year old Kurt Warner

And personally, I havent seen Ben Roeshtlisberger do anything on the field Tim Tebow couldn't do and a whole lot of things off the field that Tim Tebow wouldn't do.

... and Denver also picked up Brady Quinn. With these three: Orton, Quinn, Tebow, Denver has upgraded its QB situation from last season. IMHO, that is what they needed to do. The McDaniels/Cutler dust-up left us in a position where we got what we got as opposed to thinking about it. We are now better off

Brady Quinn, once feted as the savior and future, was traded to Denver for a bunch of orange cones and a few used mouthpieces. The Browns have turned their quarterback position over to 35-year-old Jake Delhomme, coming off the worst season in his career, and to Seneca Wallace, a career backup.
