I feel bad for Knowshon, he was in a groove. Heal well young man. But, that Lance Ball ran pretty well in his absence.

Never so glad to have been deer hunting during a football game in my life.

Now, to add to the Chefs' woes, Tyler Palko is the starting QB.

I invited my KC cousin's husband to the New Year's Day game. I hope he can make it. He brought good luck last year--- though he didn't think so. 49-29

So NYJ vs Denver--- a tale of two first round QB's who can't throw deep in an increasingly pass dominated league. Three yards and a cloud of dust going both ways. If the over/under is above 12 take the under. This should make the 'bama/LSU game look like a game of offensive juggernauts.

Jets 8- Denver 3.

I don't like your numbers. So, let's look at it this way;

1. What's the over/under on Denver's rushing yards.
2. " " " TD passes will Sanchez throw.
3. " " " TD passes will Tebow throw.
4. " " " sack total for Denver.
5. " " " sack total for Jets.
6. " " " how many times Fireman Ed will be shown on TV.

So, you're predicting a Jets 8-3 victory, right? That means you're calling for a safety, how do you see this coming about?

Tebow hanging onto the ball too long, trying to make something work out of the endzone. That was hugely and scientifically calculated.

Jets in a funk after being dominated by their dementor yet again. They will come to life, out of pride, in the second half. Broncos win 20-17. Sanchez will not call the timeout he should early enough, and they will run out of clock driving.

I hate seeing guys all hobbled up w/ busted knees. The human knee is doing some rediculous things for the sake of our entertainment, not to mention the brains sloshing around in the skulls.

KC had a big 40+ pass play called back by illegal formation and a couple of other drive ending penalties though they only committed 4. Broncos committed 8 for 63 yards and 3 free first downs. Prater missed another fucking mid-range fiald goal. 2 completed passes. That's not usually good enough to win.

Get 'em Tubby!!

I know some of your commentary is tongue in cheek, but I think Fox has decided not to put Tim in that situation. He's going to try to run the ball out of series that start deep in Bronco territory and if it doesn't work, punt.
I envision a very similar game plan this week (especially since it's a short week) of running the ball with a bit of passing thrown in just to keep them honest. I think Revis Island is going to be pretty much deserted...

I think Eric Decker will be stuck on Revis Island. Who knows, maybe this is the week they break out the tight ends.

Jets

With shut down corners it's rather obvious the Jets D will be able to focus on Denver's run game. What will be Fox's game plan? Will Denver's D get to Sanchez? How's the Jets' running game? Will the short week and travel have an adverse impact on them?

The vastly overrated Jets are going to look NOT overrated.

Jurgen is hoping the really short off week helps. Hoping, not expecting.---- Jurgen will be viewing this game at Twin Peaks, so at least there will be a pleasant view and a good cup of coffee.

PS-- I sure hope there aren't any midgets speaking backwards and cryptically. That would really creep me out.

What is this Twin Peaks place you speak of?

BTW, LT's out for tonight's game.

Saw some good stuff on Mike and Mike this morning particularly some great comments from Mark Schlereth RE Timmaaay. He's saying this approach by the Broncos will last this season only and then they'll go looking in the draft for a QB.

I agree. As much as I'd love this fairy tale to last I know it won't. TT will have to move to another position or go elsewhere - if anyone would take him.

Still, I'd love to see him succeed if for nothing else but to shut up Merrill Hoge.
