Fourstoke Finale?
Quote:
Perhaps a new chapter and updated "changing of the guard" picture with Eddie Lejuene and Toni Bou...just like this one with Sammy Miller (with Ariel HT) and Eddy's Honda from Fourstroke Finale? |

Haven't seen this one posted yet. Robin Perry copyright 1975.
(I also have Bernies book, it's in even worse shape as it's been loaned out so many times) |

Oh, and just so no one says I'm hijacking the thread I have Clean to the Finish and all three of Don Morley's books on trials bikes. I had the one on classic four-stroke trials bikes out and re-reading it yesterday. I agree with Mr. Morley in that this was trials' greatest era and I'd love to see a return to a time where you ride your bike to a long-distance trial, compete and then ride home again (hijack attempt #2).

![]() Back in my early days, this book was known as "The Bible" or "Bernie's Bible". ![]() We used to watch Teirry Michould (sic) video - Technique Du Trial over and over, fascinated with his floater turns.

For bonus points, what bike is Bernie riding off that waterfall?
Lane Levitt still rides and operates a stunt company. His wife Debbie Evans also still rides, she is very good and has a neat trick where she stands on her head - on a bike - with a dead engine.

I bought it back in the mid '70s when I bought a Bultaco Sherpa T 250 and started riding trials events.

I video taped myself after that and was horrified at how stiff I was clamped to the bike at the boots and hands... After some months of adjustments in my stance and concentration at keeping my boots away from the frame with a softer hand grip, my bike too seemed to float through the rough sections. Oh yes, I ALSO have Lane Levitt and Len Weed's book. |

Known in the Dutch speaking countries of Europe, don 't know if it 's translated.
The author Toon van Vliet was a journalist of the magazine "Motor". The book is very informative and historic and a technical guide for trial and off-the-road riders of the 80s. Still availeble on the used market: ISBN 90226 1308 9
