I've been very lucky so far. I've done a LOT of long distance buying/selling/trading, and this is really the first time I've bought something that didn't turn out to be in as good shape as it looked. And, I really can't blame the seller, it looks like he had issues just getting the bike out of the shop while it went under...

At least I had a nice road trip with Jeanne.

The IT 490 is still on craigslist too, wonder if his Aussie buyer fell thru.
He renewed his ad Nov 11 and dropped his price back down to $1,000

Don't those IT-490's have 5-speed gearboxes? I've had this lingering fantasy of dropping an open-class 2-stroker engine into a light streetbike frame...... like maybe building a Yahaha RZ-490?

Just think'n....... *QUACK*

Goodbye old friend. Parting is such sweet sorrow.

The RT has a nice new owner that I am sure will take care of her.

It's all part of the Circle of Life Bike. I think Disney made a movie about it...

I just went over there and dug around....I see mention of DVD in late January 2011 and DV March Madness, but not T'giving week.

Probably a good thing we already have our accomodations then. Be good to see some other folks riding out there. If you see the link, ctrl-C it onto your clipboard and ctrl-V it here
