There I go getting all political again...
And here I thought it was just a game of "hangman", teaching the youngsters to spell.

on completely unrelated to the Rockies news (cause I like y'all) I'm about to be the proud owner of a 2007 TE-250 with a blown engine. Oil starvation. I'm not sure exactly what I'm getting myself into, but for $1k, I'ma gonna find out! New piston at the min. Mebbe valves. Mebbe bearings in the engine. Rekluse clutch's installed and it comes with the original clutch.

I have Dad's tools. I have space. I have a non-heated garage in which to work on it. I can also bring the thing to the bicycle shop where I have semi-heated space to work on it as well as a former BMW mechanic to stand over my shoulder and say 'don't do that.'

I won't be able to get it till Jan, but AFA I can tell, I'm the only one the dood I'm getting it from is talking to. We're buds, so He don't have time, space, or money to do anything with it. I do.

YAY fer Gummee! actually havin a dirt bike (sorta)

BOO that there's no dirt riding within several hours of the house.

YAY that there IS dirt riding over in WV

BOO that it ain't the passes in the Rockies I wanna go ride.

So... makes the decision whether to buy a sports car or a truck easier, huh? Truck. Gotta haul the wee little bike to the Hatfield-McCoy trails in WV.

The logo on that red truck reminds me of a South Park episode.

I'm not sure what I've gotten into, but with a little luck (doG protects fools and drunks, no?!) I'll be OK.

Some SuMo wheels/tires and I'll have a real fun little NoVA backroads bike.

My father in law has that same truck sans the heavy duty rear axle. Doesn't look near as nice as it was used as a farm truck all it's life. Horrible engine with single barrel carb, drum brakes, bad suspension, horrible small, no power steering.

I love it.

Retired firetruck 1970 Ford F350 (Napco Converted to 4X4). Isnt it a beaut??? We hauled it from his place up near pine, down to the business to mount a flatbed on it and do some light work. God...... this is pretty much the coolest truck I've ever seen

Interior is in excellent shape

Now... look at these bad boys. Me and my brother jumped on the back and it didnt sink down an inch. Also had a hell of a bounce issue coming down the dirt road

And what a lovely logo, my favourite part of the truck

I'll bet it's illegal SPACE aliens, just trying to distract us all from their take-over of the world economy..........

Either that, or those pesky Druid Rock Fairies, practicing their skills at telekinesis..........

Or just some drunken prankster with a stick, making those impressions in the dirt away from the rocks. He's on winter vacation from making crop-circles in Michigan all summer.

Picked up some wheel chocks from Shuffler. Very nice Pit Posse for just a few bones.

Got them bolted into the truck and am ready to roll. No more shoving the wheel into the bed.

Tha Rick,

Thanks for the welcome. Its amazing that wind could move those heavy rocks. Must be a unique to California phenomena.
