Kind of entertaining though! On Speed channel and Comcast on-demand.

I've got Comcast on-demand. Where exactly is it? Having trouble finding it.

Yea, I hear you. It's sometimes difficult to find anything specific with Comcast's crappy zillion different menu layers with no rhyme or reason.

-> On Demand
--> TV Series
--->All TV Series
---->All Series (a bit redundant, comcast??)
(Scroll down)
----->Battle Supercars

Perhaps Apple should buy Comcast with their $50 billion in surplus cash and teach them how to create a user interface?

Geek?

Cheers and Happy New Year!

PS, school is off to a very exciting start.
Obviously Geek will know much more than me on this but Helen has had a Sony VAIO for years now with no problems at all apart from having it stuffed full of pics to the point it is bursting , I got her a couple of "terrible bites" for Xmas to solve that .
I have gone all MAC and have not a problem with them either.

Got it! Thanks.

I've had Comcast on-demand for 4+ years now, and I'm still finding new features and new menus every week. Crazy amount of menus and sub-menus.

I'll second the Mac vote, even if you buy a Macbook and just load Windoze 7 on it... Robust hardware, great ergonomics, and if you do have a hardware problem, your local Apple store will often just swap it out on the spot.

But I also think that pretty much all the big brands offer very robust hardware these days. It will either fail in the first week or run until Windows gets so tangled up it can't get out of its own way. I just bought a new (low end) Compaq Presario for $300 bucks at Office Depot as I needed a cheapo dedicated windows platform for a VW diagnostics application. Crazy cheap, and a very decent machine!

How about the 2 x 12 (about 10') / spare tire method. Engine on 2 by, drag under vehicle, place spare tire under one end of 2 by. Raise other end of 2 by with another spare. Adjust height of 2 by until engine slides onto tranny.

Sony's break as often as the rest of 'em. Most laptop failures these days are due to the end user (dropping, spilling liquid on, etc). The rounds of hard drive failures and the like effect every brand because they all buy hard drives from the same suppliers (example Fujitsu travelstar fiasco) - so it is hit or miss if you get caught up in defects like that.

Buy the one you like the ergonomics, features, and price of. Brand is irrelevant.

One addendum: Take a look at the quality of the plastic in the hinges. Cheryl's Acer recently had hinge failures.. the plastic wasn't strong enough.

but....don't you have like three garages or something

those could be pictures of two different garages

j/k, looks great. The seasoning jars reminded me of what my jr. high buddy's dad did in his garage/shop. He was a master tinkerer, with storage everywhere.
He had a piece of plywood overhead with mason jar lids screwed to it. Jars filled with nuts and bolts and stuff screwed to them....you need something, just unscrew the jar and put back.
Made use of overhead space, was pretty cool.
