Cost & complexity. One more thing to break. I would rather mix my gas than risk having the injection system break down on me.

Re: Aerostich & commutting, I do it every day. When someone asks if it isn't uncomfortable, I give one of two answers:

1. It's not as uncomfortable as skin grafts.
2. I'm not wearing any clothes underneath.

On the oil injection note, there are two systems right? One that spits oil at the bearings and one that simply mixes oil for intake. For the "purist" the second version could be disconnected and reconnected with ease.

I tell people that I'd rather be sweaty than have skinned elbows.

An the astich note, I never thought it was uncomfortable to ride in...just walk around in. If one is wearing material underneath similar to under armor, it's not too bad.

My 1969 Yamaha DT1-B had oil injection as have all my snomo's since 1981.

My DT1, '72 250 and 360 MX, '74 MX, all of my snowmobiles and all modern two stroke boat engines have oil injection. A failure on a snomo in the back country like the eskimos, or off-shore boat engine could be fatal.

I like it. And an injected two stroke is a whole boatload lighter than today's 4 strokes.

The 2 strokes make better power pound for pound but I prefer to mix...My injector went out on my Evinrude boat motor and cost me a new powerhead...the boat mechanic said he sees it alot. It is a pain in the ass to mix 20 gallons of premix for the boat though

That would put a nice dent in the hood if you messed up.
