Thanks Hair. Answers cause more questions.

1. The board and components look new (pic above). Does a def cap always look bulged? There a nine of them (all look good), just do one at a time?
2. I can google the monitor, how would one google the power supply?

Thanks for the help. I'd rather be learning here than from some anonymous stranger on the internet.

I'm ok with tools; electroncis, not so much.

Um, no. I was up at Brainard Lake yesterday, and there were patches of snow at 10,000. That will melt off. But up above 12,000'? I think it's sticking around.
