Pretty good up at 11k feet near Pikes Peak as well.
![]() ![]() Followed the next day by an almost windless balmy ride out east to stretch the legs on the new 950. ![]() Here is the site indicated on the GPS to be a large reservoir. ![]() I think the Mayans were right. Get in as much riding as you can in the next three weeks.

It was a 990 when Rob traded it in. KTM needs all the cc's they can get to build the new 2013 1190s and they take them from where they can get them.

![]() Here's the only picture I have of the 990. You're just going to have to take my word on the extra 49 cc's.

It's good to be old.
Some days it's good to be old.
Less that $100/year to insure the 2010 KTM 990 with $100 deductable on comprehensive + liability. No collision. I figure if I break it, I'll be fixing it anyway. I now feel safe enough to visit Colorado Springs on the bike. Driving thru there last Friday, I was glad to have power door locks on the van when we crossed to the wrong side of the tracks.

$30-36k?!?!?!?
Looks nice, but if they can't hit a certain price point and offer assurance of parts support in 10 years, their fate will be the same as ATK. Looks like a nice motor. Push rods with hydraulic lifters & 160 hp? Looks like a torque monster.
