Bring a bluetooth mouse along, pair it to the tablet. When the mouse connects, a cursor will show up on-screen...

...keyboards work too.

I can barely get motivated enough to bring the tablet....sometimes I just don't want to be too connected to the world, road trips especially.

But on this last trip I knew weather would be something I needed to track - so having online weather and maps was worth bringing it.

The TF300 I got has the keyboard/dock, really a great combo. The dock has it's own battery, USB port & a SD Card slot for additional memory.

I added a 64gb Micro SD card to the tablet so I have plenty of storage.

I'm planning on getting a bluetooth mouse at Microcenter when I get back to town. Right now I'm using a wireless USB mouse.

The really neat thing about this setup is that you can use it as a tablet or a laptop.

I just wish that I could install the PC version of Firefox into android- I really miss the Bookmarks Toolbar!

They closed the UHV area at the Dunes? There are some special places on that side of the dunes where medano creek first hits the sand. Pockets of slowsand (like quicksand, but slow). Also near invisible fluff sand slopes. You can near break a leg running down a dune face and hitting one, suddenly sinking in knee deep. incredible place. I used to do a Christmass backpacking trip there every year in the Natl. monument days. One year I hiked in during a serious blizzard. Just kept walking uphill until the hill ran out then pitched the tend. In the morning it was very quiet and clear and the dunes had 6" of snow on them. The tent was dead on top of grand dune. The rangers were not pleased, but it wasn't like anyone else was around.. Interesting walking in the snow covered sand.

Now's the time to get the right one done. Get it all outta the way at once. I spaced them as close as possible to still have one working hand for doing "business".
