They're both in there now. This one just kinda fell in my lap..... traded for the 955i project that's been sitting for years. It might stay, it might be sold, it might morph into a TIG machine..... who knows.

How can it be fun if there's not at least an outside chance of dying?

Contrary to popular belief, more throttle is not always the answer!

(Though sometimes it's just the ticket...)

Ok, I finally have a little breathing room and time to do a quick update: I've been searching for a GS for a few months now. Either an 1100 or 1150 ideally. Something for 2up riding that a soon to be married guy might find handy.

Thanks to one Steamboat Dave, I was made aware of a very pristine '04 GSA in Sante Fe. Dave texts me the link along with the comment "Want me to do a fly and ride for you?". This was an ideal offer as I am very tied up at work during the week and even weekends, and I'm saving all my vaca time for my upcoming honeymoon. After contacting the seller, learning about the bike, getting more pictures of it, etc, a deal was struck for the bike and Mr. Steamboat was hired for his transport services! I picked Dave up at his house last Thursday at 6AM, had him to the airport by 7:40, he took off at 10:00 and was in ABQ by 11:00am. He was on the bike by noon and started riding (in the rain) up I-25. About 9 hours later, looky what pulled up in the driveway

And here's how it looked the next morning in the daylight

Then a quick trip to Wolfman to see how it might look with a couple of bags (didn't purchase any quite yet as I'm still deciding what to do for a passenger backrest set up)

I have been riding the Sandwash Basin OHV area for 40+ years, I am still finding new trails. This area is not mapped, and is open riding, at least for now the BLM is doing an inventory. Found 6 miles of SWEET single track this weekend. Nice fast track thru the sage was SWEET!

But this was to much for the DR

So I took this too get around it!

There were some fresh moto tracks, and I could here some bikes, but in 4 hrs of riding , I saw 2 UTV's and 2 bikes!
