On the way out to a couple of movie locations from the movie Easy Rider...the first being the Hot Springs north of Taos followed by the inpiration for the hippie colony "New Buffalo" not that place in South Dakota...they have an excellent library there documenting the hippies times when they all came to Taos in the late 1960's ... great photos...etc

I then took the back way north of Taos around the enchanted circle through Angel Fire through some very rural road to Las Vegas NM

You know the scenerio travelling along....the road gets worse and narrow...wondering did I miss a sign...ahh the adventure.....

and then wala your in Las Vegas....I went there mostly because of that is where Jack Nicholson meets up with Billy the Kid and Caption America in Prision....which no local knows the actual location from the movie...talked with some locals who directed me to No Country for Old Men movie locations.....

Rolling East now towards Clovis, NM....

In the early 1990's my bro and I took a week camping trip on his 48 Indian Chief and my 60 Panhead.
We went over the Washington's North Cascade Hwy to Eastern Washington and the Columbia river valley.
One of the funnest rides ever!

Driving off the curb after taking the above photo created kickstand damage warranted a return to the dealer in Clovis, NM so they gave me this replacement motorcycle to go see the sites

onto Lubbock...which was to be the turn around spot ... I had hoped to ride to El Paso and then back to NM ... but my now fiance decided to join me week in Albequerque and Sante Fe....

Heading west back to New Mexico...

New Meaning to the Dixie Chicks Song Wide Open Spaces....

Old Town Albuqueque is one of the neatest places to go...I went to this amazing grocery store there that was very mexican ethnic .... I should have taken some pics of outside and inside...

Another movie location...we rode up the tourquise highway (the back way from Albuquerque to Sante Fe) awesome ride!

Wild Hogs the diner...Madrid, NM

Sante Fe, NM

Sun set over Sante Fe, NM

The plaza was so fun just to be in .... one of the friendliest locals....all kinds of bikes in the plaza ... adv to full on harleys like mine to sports bikes...

back to ABQ then west to Chinle, AZ

I had purchased this little road map of the First Nations back roads...ended up taking the most beautiful ride in the morning from Chinle back to NM heading for Farmington and then to Durango, Co

I will return to do more in this part of the USA...so awesome....

Telleride, Co worth the afternoon ride from Mesa Verde and back....I will return to do this part of the country..

"Harley Davidson the most efficient way to turn gasoline into noise, without the pesky side effect of horsepower. Each roar of a harley muffler is the whimper of a sad inner child crying to be noticed."

I know standard Harley joke from those not in the know, I figured I'd get off on the wrong foot before I said there are some amazing photos in here!

As per my title...arm chair adv tourer...I consider my HD EG Classic the mini van of motorcycles...sitting in an arm chair all day long....Harley does offer a great bike for touring with a great dealer network and quality of the saddle bags / tourpack in comparison to other products out there....not going to bash other HD owners with their loud pipes each to his own....I am not a true believer in loud pipes save lives...advanced riding courses do...I probably have one of the quietist HD on the market...I put in better speakers before I did a stage one...thanks for the encouragement and I will add the ride home...eventually...

I have found that most of the guys bashing HD have never rode one. "We fear that which we don't understand." ALL two wheelers are A-OK in my estimation.

That being said...the guys on the VERY loudest HD's do bug the $hit outta me...and yeah...I own and ride one (with a pretty tame exhaust note that is.)

herein lies one of the problems...

many Harley owners have NO sence of humor about their "rides".

I got almost pissed off the other week when I pulled into the local corner market.

I was walking into the back of the store where the post office boxes are at, and this guys sais "Nice Bike Dude" to me...but there was no way possible for him to have even seen my bike. He only heard it. It obviously is a Harley from it's sound...therefore, it must be a "cool bike"!! ('cause as we all know....ALL Harley's are COOL....right???)

Fuckin' sheep!!

OK....I guess he waz payin' me a compliment...........but c'mon, keep it real!!

I did it again

Passo Gardena, one of many in Alto Adige, Italy. It was one perfect week of riding and hiking in the Alps.

Later in the year i found the cave
http://www.kudyznudy.cz/Aktivity-a-akce/Aktivity/Pekelne-doly---motorkarske-jeskyne.aspx?lang=en-GB
You can ride through the cave direct to the bar, if its not too crowded.
