In keeping with the Thanksgiving theme take me to Jamestown.

Even though we are presented with "folk tales" about Thanksgiving each year it is routed in real tradition. The first known Thanksgiving celebrations were held by the Spaniards in the Commonwealth of Virginia in the early 1600s and Jamestown (our first permanent settlement) was known to have had its first Thanksgiving feast in 1610.

Jamestown it is!

That's the best I could come up with.

New tag: Show me your main street all dressed up for the hoildays...

Looking the other direction...

They were getting ready to roll the sidewalks up.
Remember, this IS wild card tag. If you don't live near A Main st. use YOUR main street!

Looks like the set for a low budget zombie flick.

From Main St. to your house. Show me where you get those things you decorate your house with over the holidays. If you don't do Christmas trees show me what you do.

Not seasonal but fun anyway.
Your bike in front of some sort of golf related statuary. I'll expand the requirements if you guys get hung up.

I live by Pinehurst. They've got countless bronze statues over by the clubhouse, but none accessible by motorcycle, at least not legally. Hmmmmm, I think I need to get creative.

Grab!

So I went to Pinehurst. The statues are by the 18th green, and they weren't keen on me bringing the Ural in. BOOOOOOO!!!!!!

I couldn't even get them in the background, there just wasn't an angle. Maybe I should have gotten the wife dolled up and sent her into ask.

So then I had an epiphany. Pinehurst Country Club has their statue of Donald Ross on loan to the town of Pinehurst, and it is sitting right in the middle of town.

So I present you with Donald Ross, the greatest golf course architect of all time, in his adopted hometown of Pinehurst, NC. If any of you ever want to come down and play a round, send me a PM. First beer is on me.

New tag!

I actually grabbed that tag hours ago, but couldn't get the website loaded on the phone. I thought for sure I'd get bruced on such a pretty Sunday.

So for the new tag, I'm hoping to make people get out and ride a while on the road less traveled. So without further adieu...

New Tag: A covered bridge.

Uh-oh!

Did I kill it? Come on, it's just a covered bridge. Google is your friend....

Ditto: I'm on the Easter shore of NC this week, and there are no covered bridges over the intercoastal. I'll be back in PA where covered bridges are king next week
