Thanks for the info on the head light brackets.
Something to think about down the road.

Speedo, was it your W I saw in Pleasantville by the farmer's market yesterday? My son and I were enjoying a pickle on a stick when I heard and then saw a W go by.

So with the new tires on I'm noticing a side-to-side motion in the bars mostly when decelerating through about 35 mph or so, like a little mini-headshake. I noticed that it would do it with the original Accolades if my hands were off the bars but never really felt it if my hands were on the bars.
With the BT-45s I can feel the motion in the bars. What would cause this motion? Steering head bearings too loose maybe? |

I had just come back from Houston St in Manhattan, went down there for some handmade pretzels and knishes. Stopped at my son's friend's flower shop, Nilssons, on the other side of the tracks from the farmers market. I live in the Pocantico Hills area just outside Pleasantville. Are you local? Ar du fran Sverige?

Yes, I moved to Chappaqua a few months ago, from the City. I have an 06 KTM 640 Adventure and a 1982 Honda C70 which I ride to the station every day. Am thinking about swapping the KTM for a W650 or Triumph Bonnie, hence my presence in this thread. Am originally from Sweden, but have been here in the States for nearly 20 years. Which thankfully has given me a team to cheer for in the Cup!

Put some bar-end weights and mirrors with the lower, euro-spec handlebars. Manic Salamander weights and CRG mirrors.
When I did the original shift over, the vibes through the bars took a toll on me for rides over an hour. This seems to help, though it does widen the feel of the front-end for slipping around cars turning left into driveways or side-streets. ![]() And a Tag-o-rama shot which turned out pretty good. ![]()

You can cancel out KLEEN by buying the parts that came on the 1999-2000 Japan-spec models, which didn't have it. Check this link for more info. http://www1.cncm.ne.jp/~yamaguti/W65...t%20KCA(E).htm

You can achieve the same effect by simply blocking off the vacuum lines with a marble. The Yahoo Groups File pages have the details, but it's easy to do even for a mechanical clutz like me.
My W burbles, but does not backfire. If I was really energetic, which I'm not, I'd play some more with the air screws to try to decrease the burbling. For now, I just ride it.

Nice, but why not dump that goofy looking Kleen air pipe while you're at it.

Ran into The Jerk last night down at the Ear Bar on Spring St. in Manhattan with his very clean '00 version, factory low bar kit installed. Nice guy, nice bike!
