Looks great! Almost a clone of my Dub, in NOVA, except for maybe the bars . . . .

I am toying with the idea of converting it to a scrambler. I bought a set of Hagons 10mm over stock length that work great. Now i need to shorten up the fenders a little. I also found a mesh rock guard for the head light. I found the bars on one of the Triumph sites. They feel great without being too tall.

Ya know, it might make a nice "street scrambler" aka the original Honda CL- models, and the new Triumph Scrambler. I've ridden mine on a bunch of gravel roads (nothing particularly gnarly) and it handles well. Barnone put Avon Distanzia's on his a few pages back, and has good things to say about meatier rubber on gravel and back roads. The engine's certainly flexible enough. There's a lot of Dubya's in Europe with high or tucked-in pipes, mostly I think out of Deuz.

It would be a cool mod.

I saw this and was inspired. Plus, the W is 100 pounds lighter than the Triumph.

Barnone, I too got the LeatherLyke but they were not compatible with my Hepco Becker rear rack. What rear rack and bag do you have because I do occasionally need to run both.

Thanks,
Joe

Joe,
My rear rack was made to fit a Yamaha XT225 and I modified it to fit my W. I got it off Ebay but they are no longer listed there.

The top case is a Bestem off Ebay at

Hiya w650 people, i recently bought an '00 W650 but got a question.

-I used to drive an 1200cc 4 cylinder and there were zero vibrations, extremely smooth drive.
Now a couple of years ago i drove an 1000cc Vtwin but i cant recall its was vibrating as hard as the W650.
Its not extreme earthquaking like, but still pretty shaky when doing around 50mph.

Normal or?

-Past motorcycles werent making any real mechanical noises, but when the W is idling theres an slight "tingtingting" noice. Only hear it when i take off my helmet.
Could this be the valves that needs adjustment?
W has done a 16500 miles so far.
