Doug,
Did you happen to see the April '12 issue oif Classic Bike /
A couple of English guys bought and built a couple of Norton singles , shipped them to B.A. and chased Che. One ES2 and one Model 18 , They put girders on them for the look . The ES2 was a '1950 and the Model 18 a '46.
It's a good read.

I know you live in "Bama, but that don't mean that's where the bridge is.

[QUOTE=rtwdoug;18832863]I picked up a couple bikes in a trade, both came from an estate, both had been sitting in a garage for 13 years. the harley is an 86 FXRD, its the grand touring edition, less than 1000 of them made.

The other is a BMW K1, looks like something out of Tron.

So theres 2 bikes, both sitting in the same garage for the same time, with the same old gas. I wonder which one will be the easier fix?

hmmmmmmmm.........

/QUOTE]

sweet, i missed out on a black one a few yrs ago & regretted it

might have been a 97 don't remember now, seems like it had regular harley bags on it

seems like it mighta been a tourglide

Me to. It's roughly 50 miles due east of my sister's house. Can't say I've ever ran out of gas there though.

Awesome job on rebuilding the scout! like how you can just grab parts, like the brake drum, from the "pile'.
Your garage keeps getting more eclectic and interesting!

I wanna ride my 24 Chief a bunch when I retire and get some more time to tinker with it.
I got 1979 when my mentor and I formed the Evergreen Chapter of the AMCA, I was 18 at the time.
The old chief was a bucket of rust then.
I has not been ridden since the 1990s

But next in line, is my 53 Chief, that needs a butt-load of work. It should make a good touring bike.
