If you'd entertain the idea of another hack rider on the trip (see sigline link) let me know as you get closer to actually doing it/when you getting the bike ready. Would love to do the TAT and will have the time this summer.

I'm sure I'll have folks that I meet up with & ride together for a day or so, but Im not sure if I'd want to do the whole thing with someone else.
I sort of travel at my own pace, which I refer to as a 'persistent plod'

Plus, you'd probably figure out that I am really an asshole, and come tell all of these guys about it. And I've been keeping it a secret.

Understood that you like to go your own way, but figured it couldn't hurt to ask. I'm a bit of a professional asshole myself, so we'd probably get along fine...maybe we could start a club!

What a new Professional Asshole Club?

Count me in, my wife will vouch for my qualifications.

Hell anybody that knows me will vouch for me. I'm the consummate Asshole.

That's why I ride alone. To know me is to leave me alone.

I wouldn't think assholes would want to be around other assholes...seems confusing. There would be shit everywhere.

Thats my friend's Nimbus, Tormod & Klaus, from Norway. they rode em rtw a few years ago. I got to work on em & ride em a little when they stopped in Bama.

But yeah, something similar. I think if I can make the box about 6'x2', it'll be big enough to put my air mattress on top of, and I'll come up with some sort of tarp/tent to go over the top, it'll be like a camper, almost

Oddly enough, Poly refuses to ride in a sidecar with me

Plus, she has the camp in BG, and with her visa, she has time limits of being allowed in the US

Heres Poly riding in an Izh hack over in BG. at about :50 you can here her holler 'Not Clever' which was her way of saying 'Dont do that! its stupid!'

When I started watching this I thought it was Indiana Jones. Then I saw it was Alabama Doug.

Welcome to the Professional Assholes Club, to be members you must be an Asshole. Benefits include no meetings, no annual fees and no personal contact with other members. One additional benefit of membership is that you can post any arbitrary comments on the world wide web that meets your fancy.

Nothing confusing about this.

Damn Doug, we all thought you'd be our First President, and of course this position does not have a termination date.

You take all the fun out of being an Asshole.

Yes, I forgot their names, but I knew they were from Norway. I went and met up with them when they rode thru NYC. They gave a presentation of their trip at the Matchless (a bar in the city), a nice overview of riding underpowered sidehacks around the world!
