Mark brought me a hunk of plastic to make a chain rubbin block out of, so I heated it with a torch, bent it to fit, then hacked off what I needed.

Thanks Mark!

Oh and while pickin up the bmw, I did some diggin thru another guys stuff,
(thanks Sammy!) & picked up this old Kawasaki lighted sign/clock. I havent replaced the clock yet, but I used some of the letters that came with it to make just what I needed for my shop, as people are always askin me to work on their stuff.
Now if its a friend, or someone I meet thats travelling who needs something done, thats different. but for just yer general alabama yahoo, no thanks.

Hey Doug, the Dirtster is looking even better than I expected. Sorry you have to work on a GS. Complexity for the sake of complexity is the Mantra of the hundreds of teams of engineers at BMW that think up ways to complicate things. "Take it to your nearest Authorized Service Center......" BTW, that sign is you.

BMW rider is riding down the road when he sees a HD rider by the side of the road.
He stops to see if he can help. He asks the HD rider as he unrolls his tool kit, "What do you need? Metric, Inch wrench, Multimeter, Philips or straight screw driver, Pliers?"
HD rider, " doesn't matter what you give me, I'm gonna use it as a hammer"

Doug, you must have to much free time on your hands, it took you less than 6 minutes to answer the last reply. What's the matter nothing to do in the shop. Hell come on down to Orange Beach, bring a big hammer and I'm sure I have something to fix the Harley way.
