Top speed was about the same on the flat with or without the boat and luggage. Hills were a different matter but torque was good for the day.

Doug, bike is looking great, but if I might be so bold as to make a small suggestion...I think you'll find you get better airflow if you angle the windscreen back somewhat...try to get it roughly parallel with the forks....at the current angle, I think you're gonna get turbulence on your chest/head, instead of a nice flow up and over your head.

have you had it up to highway speed yet to see about the airflow?

I dunno if I'll keep the windshield or not. seems to work ok as is, and I need the room there for my tent.
but I may just yank it back off.

You gonna make the spring fling on that???? It'd would be well received!!! Is the main frame unaltered??? I'm looking forward to reading about the upcoming trip. When are you leaving??

BTW, don't get your jewels caught between the tank and seat....that'd hurt.

Doug, it sounds like a lot of people want you to hurry up and leave! Nice to feel wanted around here, huh?

Geeze. It just keeps getting better. The new saddle looks great. The more I see the exhaust pipes the more I like''em.

But I have to break some bad news to ya. You can't go on the trip. There's no room for any more stickers.

Enjoy the humidity this summer.
