I love it !!!! Had her for 5 years now and have no intention of upgrading. Being Italian, she has her reliability quirks (like the odd electrical issue, wheelbearing collapse, gearbox seal, driveshaft u-joint, etc etc) but everytime I ride her she gives me a big smile. Easy to maintain yourself (all tappets done in 40m mins). Nice torquey power. Brakes are great. They are not what you call light (esp full of fuel) so they handle well as long as you keep the power on and are smooth. Fairly economical. Fairly comfortable but the pillion seat sucks big time !!! But I still get admiring comments from the bike stands where I park her daily....oh BTW not a good commuter... |

it´s a kit called "sportiva" from a friend of mine: www.dsm-ducati.de different fairing eliminates the regular and heavy bottom parts and the top (sidepanels stay the same), DE lights require a new adapter of course, new screen (much better shape than the 2 versions Ducati makes) comes with the top. Mirrors are 916/996/998 mirrors, but anything you want can be fitted. I´ve seen one with MV mirrors with integraded turn signals and no "holes" for the regular turn signals in the fairing of course, but that makes the top look kinda big and bulky. Actually, all the changes become really obvious when parked right next to a regular st4s - bike looks much leaner, lower, more the sporty side. schrabs screwed with this post 10-30-2011 at 12:31 AM |

Hi! Yeah, it´s been adding up over the years....oh well. They are on different continents though. The 696 is in Santa Rosa...and waiting for me, hopefully. Planning for a AZ ride Nov 11th.

Griso SE in Green with the brown leather seat spoked wheels is just about the coolest looking ride that is currently offered by any MFG.

Judging by your current ride, you might be in a little over your head...

![]() My current daily rider. Been great so far but I've decided I want a bit more wind protection and hard bags since I don't have a car. Come spring I'm looking for an ST3, Futura, Multistrada (Cyclops style) or V11 Le Mans. |

Oddly enough, last week I returned the RC30 to the fellow I got it from almost 10 years ago. I half expect a call from someone who has one of my old treasured bikes asking if I'd be interested ![]() Other than not getting that call so far, everything's fine on this end.
