And doing a two-up session at Barber with sis-in-law. My first time with a pillion on any track and my first time with a pillion in about six years...

My GT1000 in action, somewhat overloaded!!!!

Had to commute the other day and the trusty dr650 is sick. My wifes Cally Stone and my duke were both tucked up and the sidecar outfit would have been a nightmare in bristol city traffic, so dragged the Duke out on the salty winter roads, on the way home I passed a mate down by the River Severn bridge, hes an amateur photographer, he fired a few off and sent them to me via email, thought Id pop them up here, you can see the bike in action, its a little small for me, as you can see. I will say it was good to get out on it though, handling is sublime, fuel light came on at 97 miles though GGGGRRRR, took 9.5 l to fill up.
Anyway..................

I thought I might have some regrets about getting rid of BOTH of my
V-twins but after my first hour in the saddle of this machine I won't
look back. The last track day I did in November I followed a guy
that had the Tuono APRC on my 07 and he would constantly pull
out 10 bike lenghts when we hit the longest straight and I would reel
him back in the curves then BOOM... 10 lenghts + down the straight
again, thats what got my attention !
The Rotax twin is a fantastic reliable engine, the Aprilia four takes it
up another level,,or two..
Go ride a demo somewhere, then figure out a way to get one !
I love my falco, and the reliability and low maintenance engine. I often ride with a friend who owns an rsv4, and that engine is awesome. I've done some 2nd and 3rd gear roll ons with him for the sake of comparison, and it's almost like a pickup truck and a corvette on the top end. And that's not a knock against the falco.

If I only had about 4-5K to spend on one street bike, I would find a good used Falco - that bike was ahead of it's time and does it all !

Cool pic.
Way closer than I would want to be to a "sister-in-law".
