My Ducati 750 SSie. I sure miss owning a Ducati.

Here is a short run that I did on the Duc. I just love the way that engine sounds!

This one needs to find a new home ASAP! My neighbor returns in 6 weeks and there are 4 bikes in his garage that he doesn't know about.

I wish I had some actual pictures of that bike as my brother owned it prior to me and he painted the WHOLE THING in a red metal flake with really large flakes.

I initially owned it prior to having a license, so it ended up with a ribbed front tire and a knobby on the back. I beat the piss out of it and it kept going. I guess it was my first adventure bike.

A little history:

In the 1950's and 60's it became popular for mass-merchants, like Sears and Montgomery Ward, to sell motorcycles. These merchants would strike deals with select motorcycle manufacturers to re-brand the bikes and sell them as their own. As they were often offered and sold via catalog, these motorcycles are sometimes known as "catalog bikes."

I remember at the time, when I broke the muffler and rear shocks I was amazed that you could still order parts for it through the Sears Catalog.

God I miss those roads!! What area did you live in? I lived in Hutschenhausen, west of Kaiserslautern, for just under four years.

Not sure if any of you guys are fans of the show on Friday nights called "Numbers" but on tonight's episode Don Epps, one of the show's main characters is going through a bit of a mid-life crisis, looking at sports cars on the net and such. What does he end up with?? A beautiful new black Moto Guzzi Griso!! After showing the bike to his dad who's staring at the bike dumbstruck, he motors away on it. Very cool!

I lived on Fleigerstrasse in Kaiserslautern. I have yet to find an area with as many great roads since I left Germany. These roads were less than 10 minutes from my house and I lived in the city!
