Cool! I had a '69 wagon that I jacked up and used as an off road vehicle- think audi all-road w/o body panel dented and used just as such. Damn near a go anywhere vehicle! Rolled it twice w/o even breaking any glass. Ended up giving it away. Would love to have another. Also had a 66 Roadster.

Ahh yes, the Fairlady. We had a 65 1500 for a little while. Positive earth and everything, with Mikuni SUs. Wish I still had it.

Just to continue this hijack: almost everyone I knew that had a 510 when I was a teenager used their car as a rally car. Snow tires on those little cars did wonders on dirt roads. I loooove 'em!

Hey Kids

New guy here. Been lurking for a little bit, time to say Hi.

Found this thread. I've only got a couple of Italians though....

This photo communicates a perfect late Spring / early Summer ride: speed, a great road, the sunlight through the trees - you can practically hear the wind roaring in your ears. Wonderful!

I agree, it captures the essence of motorcycling quite well. My only problem is that I cringe a bit when I see no gloves.

Me too. If you look closely, you can see the wrinkles from my Held Steves. The photographer had me take em off for the photos. Know your audience, I guess.

Wow. It looks great in black. Was that a factory color?

My prejudic...er, tastes are well known by now I'm sure so, I'll just say it: Did you notice how all the bikes in this thread made before say, 1999, were gorgeous, and how NONE of them made since then are?

Oh, I know how quick/fast/responsive they are. Moreso than 99% of us (very much including me) will ever be able to use or appreciate. But butt-fucking-ugly. Unless you go for that transformers look. In which case, go home - shouldn't you be playing dungeons and dragons right now?

Function is form my ass. Function and form can be made to co-exist.

SQUARE/RECTANGULAR is bad! Rounded/curved is good. Learn it. Know it. Live it.
