Amazing... The only way I could ever part with a bike like this would be to feed my family..

I love this bike. I never heard of a Brembo though, how much HP does it have?

You would be surprised how many people asked me where Brembos were made. One older guy at a WalMart in Wisconsin said he didn't know Ducati made a bike called the Brembo. I told him it was an ultra rare special edition. Couldn't resist.

Man, the 748 is one of my favorites of all time...
It was my first Italian love. I wish I would have
kept her as my play thing - but instead I replaced
her with a 1000RR w/ 0 miles, factory warranty,
...and the thing I missed most besides distinct and
utter beauty, were her graceful cornering manners,
and intoxicating exhaust note...

The Italians ability to manufacture beauty is un-matched by any other culture. No one else is even close imho.

Great, great bikes here. I had an Italian beauty once long ago that I still remember very fondly. I have no pictures of her but she was a new 1981 black and gold Ducati Darmah. To me just one of the most beautiful human created things ever. I never remember the problems I had with her, or that I could not get parts to repair her (after I crashed her). She was comfy to ride, long legged and could cruise at any speed for hours. She was a great all rounder and so, so sweet to look at!

Any body have a picture of a 1981 Darmah to share?

Keep 'em coming

here's my bike at the dealer, on the day I bought it (July 09)

and then, a few weeks later..with no screen :)

and then I took it on a "shakedown" ride..to Greece and back

Farkle list is limited at present to panniers, sat nav, tank bank, engine guards and some acerbis handguards (so I can use summer gloves for longer). I'm having a custom exhast made as we speak, bling tbh but also a tad more power & torque and I'm getting Russell to make me a seat as 1000km days hurt my arse.

I love how red this thread is
