I love it.

Thank you, ofcourse when the foto was taken the passenger seat was in repair.
It is a qute and reliable bike but with wife and luggage the brave 10 HP is not enough for strong wind ahead or hill's in 4th, so we cannot use highways all the time (safety) and hence the distance we cab cover in 3 week holiday is small.
especially when driving through germany, are a lot of B roads on the map but you cannot see in advance if it is a 90km/h straigt on road of 50-60 zones every 3 km's making the travelled distance in a day very small.
the italian diesel engiensn have some more power which should eleminate most of this problem, but these engines are very expensive (having health problems and not able t work in my educational field, money is a problem)

the chinese diesel engine was 320 euro new and gives untill now (56.000km) good service.

Good on you, Sir. That's a terrific use of resources.

Safe and pleasant travels to you and your wife.

Great tales, both Enfield and the snow Cruiser....

Enfield diesel: I would say that the Chinese diesel, at 320 Euros, new, was one helluva deal! Good on ya!

And Snow Cruiser, an early diesel-electric vehicle, which we might now develop as a Hybrid...

All thanks for the reply. Chinese diesel engines are offered a lot on the german ebay. Stay away from the cheapest ones, they have proved to be unreliable.
Every year a meeting for dieselbikes is at Hamm, Germany. A lot of folks with home made conversions.. very nice.

Out riding around and saw these today. To be honest it shocked the hell out of me to see them. Not your everyday bike here in Japan.

The black BMW had a sticker that read either R26 or R28 on the rear fender. Older gentleman riding it. Watched him kick it over like he has done it a thousand times. Fired right up.

Very cool danedg. Got a little newer version of that. The bike is gone now but it was a goody.
