Somewhere around there yes. It doesn't have papers so I am not 100% sure but I think it's '70. It's also 100% original and has only done 350kms

Z50 VIN decoder

They are still in production, btw.

It should top out somewhere around 35-40mph depending on the sprockets.

Jakkie since she is low miles then you are required to ride that little thing and pile on the miles of smiles

thanks Duckman, you are right it is sad! All my bike needed in my opinion, was some lower bars and a sweet sounding 4 into 1.

Is this a Canadian or Euro model, the US models had blacked out carbs and black chrome exhausts. This is so clean I can't imagine anyone would have taken the time to restore it and not use the proper parts.

Good eye...it's a Canadian model. But the same as US model. The exhaust are off an 82 GS1100 (which was chrome) and the carbs have been "dipped" at some point, hence the metal finish. The airbox is original but the PO put on the chrome ends from an 82 gs1100. I don't mind the chrome pieces but I am going to be getting a V&H 4-1 soon and hanging those pipes up in my garage.

3rd Annual Texas M/C Revival - Vintage Bikes!

This was a cool event, very low-key and casual and free! Texas Powersports in George Town TX hosted it.
I had a good time checking out some cool machines!

I have an 83 1100 Katana that I bought new and its still in good shape except the airbox and pipes are long gone and I could kick my own ass for it. I just got off a friends red 83 gs that has a V@H black chrome pipe on it from the day he bought it new at the shop I worked for. After all these years he decided to put a K@N air filter in it and now its a little lean and hopefully a little air screw adjustment will fix it.This bike is as nice as yours,he's a fanatic about taking care of it.

I took some pictures of a James this week, a little WD bike, so light you could almost pick it up with one hand....
