Pretty sure AK and tc are still kickin. Seen lots a FB pics of bikes and mountains n stuff. Think they're on some National Forest sabbatical or something.
We are still alive, just got back last night..

So, I got a new job a couple weeks ago, but before accepting it I made sure I could get a couple days off in September. So I'm doing what it takes to make this trip possible and I expect to ride with someone from Minnesota or else I'll be doing this with my bike.
And that' a pretty perverted thing to do, even in South Dakota.

Also, I notice the DDSR was moved to the weekend of September 13th. It doesn't change my plans, but last year you guys hooked up. Do we have an "In List." kind of wondering if we're on. Kind of itching to swing a leg over this beta rr. If I don't get a response in 5 minutes, I'm going to assume everyone is no longer riding dirt bikes and everyone is dead.
Congrats on the new job. DDSR moved their ride date up a week, which is 2 weeks ahead of the ADV ride, I wont be able to make the DDSR fall ride.
I will start a "IN" list.

And by the sounds of things, I damn well better get my CRF in running order or trade off the KLX for something else a bit more serious.

Yes!!! An in list. Put me on it. Still getting the little WR250F dualsport ready. Looking for a good deal on an oversize fuel tank from a yz250f or yz426f. So far the only street legal thing I have on it is a license plate that I got illegally.

I couldn't believe the total cost for the plate and tabs was around $25. I was expecting about $80.

Yeah, as far as I'm concerned, the way MN put together the "Dual Registration" regulations is an example of the legislature doing something right. I just wish the option would have existed before I parted out my KDX200 in 2010. Still sad about that one.

I've been lurking around. Also doing some scouting in the hills too. Last weekend I went out and did a lot of crashing, you would have been impressed! I don't think I have ever crashed that much in one day. Busted up a few plastic pieces on the BRP, nothing a few zip ties cant fix.

How do you plan on getting in/out of your car like this, duke of hazard style?

Toadl, if you end up using the 'car hauler', strap a mannequin in full gear on it too. Might get a few looks, but at least you could use the carpool lane.
