VERY Nice bike. I've ridden with it and even thought about buying it myself, but my stable is pretty full.

Looking for a good used motorcycle, prefer something fuel injected, comfortable 2up and under $4000 located in the midwest(I'm near Des Moines, IA). I'll consider about anything, farkles such as comfy seat, and luggage are huge plus's. While I can go up to $4k or so, cheaper is definately better. Need not be perfect, but nothing that looks like it was dragged behind a semi-tractor trailer either. Please feel free to pm me if you've got something in mind. Thinking Tiger, Vstrom, FJR1300, 1250 bandit, several bmw's are nice, st1100.......I'm sure there are more let me know what you have!

Thanks!

****** I prefer EFI, but I realize some bikes listed dont have it, I won't completely exclude carb'd bike FYI....just has to be "the right" carb'd bike*****

How bout this......

I have a 95 VFR750 for sale.

33K miles on it.

Runs fine but will need tires and possibly a chain. (stiff links)

Aftermarket goodies-

Race Tech cartridge emulators and springs

CBR 929 shock

Braided brake lines

Two Brothers slip on

Dynojet kit and K&N filter

Sargent seat

Givi Wingrack

I could possibly include an almost new Wolfman tankbag and the Givi E21's side cases if it works out.

It's been a great bike and taken me on many great rides but it's time to move on. If I had to assign a dollar value to it I'd say.....$2600

Ideally what I'd like to do is part trade for your pre-08 KLR650. (sorry, no Dr's or XL's) Only other trade I'd consider is a KTM 640 Adventure but I doubt that will ever happen for $2600.

The perfect scenario for me would be your cosmetically challenged but functional KLR and $1000 cash in exchange for the VFR.

The bike is near Minneapolis, MN

I've got a 08 Versys I'll be advertising in the near future. I think about $3800 would be a fair price.

20k miles and set up for touring
Givi windscreen
Diamond seat
Givi side racks and E21 bags
aluminum tail rack
Barkbuster handguards
Stainless steel brake lines
Speedy's flatfoot
swingarm spools
aftermarket brakelight and turn signals
4 fused accessory circuits

Trade for a Street Bike

I have a great 17 year old son who is leaving to join the Navy in August and would like to have a street bike to go with him. On his radar is something along the lines of a Buell Blast or GS500.

Well, to be honest, on his radar is a Buell XB12R, but we're not gonna go there

What we have to trade is a 1997 DR350 (13,300 miles to go up a little here and there with the weather) and an 1983 XR200 (sitting in a barn right now).

As a former Marine, please heed my advice: wait until he has a permanent duty station. It's not going to do a lot of good to ave the street bike unless it's to ride between now and when he leaves. Shipping stuff in the fleet is a pain in the ass and won't endear him to his (navy equivalent of a platoon sergeant).

God luck to him. Hope he chose a good rate.

yeah, he probably won't even be allowed to own a vehicle until he is at least partway through his A school, maybe even later. 8 weeks of boot camp puts graduation sometime in October. Then, unless he's in one of the 'advanced' programs, like Nuclear Power or Intelligence, etc, he will have some more time across the street at Great Lakes Training Command, and I don't know how they handle vehicles there. I was a Nuke, and we weren't allowed to have vehicles on base during school until we were quite a ways through ('A' school for us was way longer than most, though).
