So I'm packing my bags for the Misty Mountains
Over the hills where the spirits fly,
I really don't know.

Everything on a Land Rover is removable - they are giant tinkertoys which is why we like them so much.

Nice artistic speculation of the rumor of a Jetta Sportwagon Alltrac

My current lust

I'm taking a 3 Series Wagon for a spin this weekend. Looking forward to it.

I wish these came with diesel engines in North America. I will be looking at a 3 series coupe if the wagon does not arrive in a diesel.

Do you have to go under it to put the differential in all wheel drive? Diesel or gas?

Just read recently that BMW is bringing the 320d here...

The four cylinder diesel makes 300ft/lbs. of tq.. and mileage is in the mid-to-high 40's... perfect for duty as a commuter...

Best of all: it will be available in a wagon!

Good Golly!!!

Prolly not..

But it would be pretty sweet to have something between a VW and a Mercedes for diesel options... I don't think the A3 TDIs count... not that I have anything agaist the A3's, but aren't they just gussied up Golfs with a slightly longer wheelbase??

The Mercedes GLK is supposed to be available with a diesel this fall. It's sort of a wagon.

I guess.. seeing it is based on the C class... Just reminds of a Forester that Paris Hilton would drive if she played for the softball team..

We need more diesels in cars.. seems the Europeans have been sneeking them in in all their SUVs...

oh there's no sneaking anymore, not sure of the extract figure % wise but I'd reckon I see more diesels than petrol these days, save your pennies for either the 3.0 or 3.5 litre units, now they are fun, wife runs a 530d touring, superb car

My bad... it is the 325d... a beefier version of the 320d engine???...

2.0L diesel makes 215hp...and more importantly 330ft/lbs tq

Info was in the side-bar on page 56 of the February issue of Automobile Magazine..
