Stolen DRZ, Kennesaw Georgia.

Afternoon everyone,

Need your help. Someone stole my DRz400 out of MY apartment complex in Kennesaw.

It's black with a white Clarke's 3.9 tank, and red renthal handlebars. Also has a chive Bill Murray sticker on the right side. Never had this happen, so don't know what all to post. Keep an eye out!

You should also consider posting the VIN number. Often times the new owner/prospective owner might google it, and this thread will pop up.

That didn't do much. I Googled your VIN just to see if that worked. I didn't get a link back to this thread.

Really sorry to hear about the bike. Most of the stolen bikes I've read about here that were eventually recovered, the perps were local kids looking for a joy ride. I recall several recoveries where the owners just canvassed their own neighborhood checking abandoned lots and alley ways. I know the chances are slim to none but you might consider jumping on a bicycle or going for a run in the neighborhood. I think you would miss too much driving around in a vehicle. What do the police say? Good luck. I hope you get her home.

takes time for google bot to get around.

Google shows it posted in here.

The VIN shows up in Vin Audit.
Don't know if there is a way to flag it in there or not.

Just tried the vin in Google, this was the first result, so that seems to be in good order.

Joe- the police just added it to a database to catch the vin if a shop runs it. They didn't have all too much else they could do. I'll have to start checking the alleys. I live in a pretty busy part of town so I'd imagine if it shows up it'd be a random spot like you mentioned. The bike was under a cover and they jacked it all. Unfortunately I've heard the DRZ isn't hard to hotwire, so they're probably having a blast. I have both keys and everything, so we'll see what happens.

It was also due for an oil change...hope they don't have too much fun.

Thanks for the suggestions y'all, I'll keep you posted if I recover it!

It's likely to also resurface on craigslist. Sometimes very quickly, other times in 10-12 mos. Whether or not you want it back in that condition is a different conversation.

Update: bike was recovered early Saturday morning! Cobb County PD arrested the hooligan riding without the tag. Picking the bike up tomorrow from the impound lot. We'll see what condition it's in.

Great News!

Happy for you.
If he was riding it, can't be too much damage to it I would think.

Rocket scientist they are. Don't want the tag to show up as stolen so take it off, the cops will never notice. Dummass's

Hope it is good shape.
