I am also getting ready to pull the front end off the GS and doing the Shiver Fork Conversion, just waiting on my Husky donor forks to show up.

XCRider803, are you free any days this coming week?

XPEDITIONREADY, are you off all next week?

Worst case, we plan it for a few weeks out.

The weather is starting to get nice!
I am off the rest of the week from the fire dept. but will be working xready all week and rebuilding a 22re Toyota motor for a customer. i will also be getting ready for a Uwharrie trip we will be going on this weekend.

What are you thinking?

On another note....we will be at Uwharrie this weekend if anyone is interested in coming down that way let me know.

Ben

Well, I just got home and my forks are sitting on the front door step. I also smashed my phone tonight, haven't even started working on the rental house, and need to squeeze in some seat and maintenance time on the KDX before the Steele Creek Race this weekend.

How about we look at the calendar and plan something out a few weeks from now so that a few more people can make it as well with plenty of notice. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

In the next few weeks I'm going to clean up and sell my daughters TTR125 with Dual-Sport kit. She doesn't ride it and it needs a new home. The dual sport kit stuff mostly works but could use some tinkering. Bike runs great. It's a 2004 and I have a clear NC title in my name.

Before I put it in FM I thought I'd let it marinate here on this thread for a while to see if anyone's interested. I'll get some pics in a few days. I'm thinkin' $1,100...

I think either of those days works for me.

JoeyBones, I'm still looking for a good first bike for the GF. I found the ShortyPants Thread which has a lot of good info for new short female riders. I've been teaching her on a TTR125 dirt bike. I've been looking for an XT225 but most are out of the $1k price range or not nearby (within 500miles or so). I might have to come look at it one weekend!

Talk to me. I'm flexible. To put it on the street you'd want more dual-sportish tires. EvanADV cleaned out the carb and changed the oil (synthetic) and generally tuned it up for me a few months ago, and it's had Stabil in it for the winter (plus we fire it up every so often). It's been in a garage on a battery tender.

I'm leaving town Sunday for a week, but I'll try and get a pic on Saturday. If not, I'll be back next Sunday the 14th.

Clean little bike. I did a new plug, oil, oil filter, air filter clean, carb clean, etc. It has been appropriately jetted to run well, you may also find good to know. Can't kill em.

Here's the pic my wife snapped before I took it back to Joe.

13-14th ride

I would be up for a ride on that weekend. I don't matter which day for me. I know a lot of good fireroads and tight paved switchbacks around south mountian and just north of morganton and in the linville gourge brown mountian area if yau'll are intrested in that area. Lot's of good gravel riding in the area. easy riding on a big dualsport or a smaller street bike, or sport touring bike. I have a klr and a fz-1 that I can ride. have rode both in the area many times before. If you want I could set up a route for a ride if yau'll want. are you wanting to ride from the lake wylie area or what.
