The gross vehicle weight -- motorcycle, passenger(s), accessories and gear -- is different for every motorcycle. I looked on Triumph's web site (and even their downloadable brochure) and it doesn't specify a gross vehicle weight for the 800XC. I'm guessing it'll probably tell you somewhere in your user manual. I load up my V-Strom with camping gear, camera equipment, clothes and too much other stuff -- including a full sized tripod -- and it does just fine. (It feels/handles differently when fully loaded, but that's to be expected.)

Looks like a fantastic spot to stop and enjoy a cigar while in the middle of a dualsport ride. Thank you for posting the picture and for revealing its location.

I have found the GVW of a motorcycle is whatever you can lift when it ends up on its side! Add 50lbs of luggage/gear to a bike makes it feel like an extra 200 lbs when you are trying to get it back on the rubber!

I think the GVWR of my DR650 is like 750lbs. When I went cross country I rolled accross the scales at a light 720lbs with me and gear on it. I could pick it up myself most of the time- but it wasn't fun! I had one little off at about 12.5K feet that I needed help. It was about upside down and my fat ass was getting a little winded trying to right it. My friend was kind enough to take pics before helping....I will see if I can find them...

990 Adventure. For the record, this single track was a little tight.
