Judging by the trucks we saw at the places up on the hill... and some of the equipment remnants, I gotta go with loggers. The old satellite images show that area was heavily logged, and probably not as long ago as you'd think. I bet there are more buildings to be found, that's why I wanted to see the satellite images...

E, you gonna show us pics of your new ride, since we didn't get to see it last Sunday's ride?

I don't have any good action pics yet as I'm stuck at work during daylight hours. Excuse the messy garage, but here's a preview:

It came with all the parts next to it on the floor.

I would be, how you say, 'Stoked'.

I actually like the red and white better. This just happened to be the right deal for me. I may try vinyl over the plastics if it isn't too silly looking.

I like it, I've seen a couple of OK deals on 610SM's and thought about pulling the trigger on one of them.
Do you plan on getting some dirt wheels and tires for it? whats the year/mile miles, price (only if ya want to).....................inquiring minds want to know

edit: I think I see dirt wheels and tires

Yes, those are the dirt wheels and tires. I'm excited to see what it can do off pavement. This bike is a new experience for me in many ways. Not the least of which was getting a small loan to buy it. I've been debt free so long I didn't have a credit score, so this is 'strictly for buuilding my credit'. (note, that is my first ever smiley icon. don't get used to it)

Year is 2006. 11k miles. Came with lots of extras. (read pre-farkled) The best turning machine I've ridden yet. It's actually already done the OBDR, so I won't need a GPS for that, it knows the way.

Mid-Week?

Does anyone have next week off work like me?

It looks like tomorrow may be the best day weather-wise with 20% chance of rain and high of 40* in Scappoose.

If so, I'll be looking to meet at the HWY 30 Chevron around 10am to head west to the hills around Rocky Pt. Rd.

I'm off all this week, but I'm in Bend. I'm hoping to get a ride in Thurs or Fri.
