Last time I bought a new car, I went with the buying service my credit union offered. I forget what it cost, $200 to the CU. They give you the price there and then (but not the dealer), if you like it, they connect you. I ended up dealing with the fleet side of the Toyota dealer. Painless. Price was better than what I'd got trying to make invoice+$x deals with same dealers regular sales.

Though I've no idea what this has to do with off-pavement, maybe get a Hummer

OK, now I'm wondering what type ride this is going to be.

If I were to show up, which bike would I rather be on? 600? 950?

Well Mort, If the weather permits we'll be finding that old railroad tunnel. It was 2100 ft decent in a quarter mile. Hope that helps your decision. It is much more fun riding up.

Wish I could join you, but I've got company coming over.

I did escape from Oregon City today for a long lunch ride.

I thought it was supposed to be warm today.

Good to meet you as well.

And may I say, I admire your Adventuring Spirit in bringing out your practically-straight-from-the-showroom-floor Beemer to put on your break-in miles on the gravel, and mud.

Well I finally uploaded the one pic I managed to get on my dead-battery-cellphone, and it has only half the riders in it.

Oh well, it was good riding with all of you. Hope to see you again.
