I've been up there in the snow when you could do that, ride into the tunnel-thing they put in front!

That was fun! No flats for once! An eight dollar Husky bolt fell out of Rashie's side cover; fixed dat with a five cent zip tie.

Chased some kid down Barlow Rd on a late model orange 'tard-thingie.
Yeah, he got passed by the old man on the old bike! . He was parking it into the turns, then blew the 10 mph downhill hairpin leftie; looking in his mirrors a bit too long I'd say!

WOW.......

Estacada to Timberline Lodge! That must have been one heck of a ride or you know some secret route I'm not aware of. Not sure if the stock tank on my KLX would have held enough fuel.

I had no idea there was another road up to the lodge. I'll have to save that map you posted.

I wish I could have joined you all but had previous plans I could not get out of

Jon...

Well, said old guy got passed a couple of times and then for good, around 5:30 pm, through Gresham and then on I-84. Nevermind the fact that I was in a car. Would have given you a hardy adv salute out my window but it no go down. I did, to no avail, hold the salute up against the window for quite some time when you were right next to me. Had to reassure my passenger it was okay. Cheers, HA. (was in blue Audi wagon with 2 mt bikes up top)

Ha! I remember that car. Was just taking it easy, survival-riding thru all the texting-cagers with sun in their distracted eyeballs! 'ya need a small ADV sticker or a "Safety Third" sticker on the rack, then I would'a looked.

Usually, eye contact from mtn bike cagers to a KTM rider means they want to be metrosexual, hence I no-lookie!

You passed him? But his bike was shinny clean and he was burn'n race gas

I so much wanted to pass Scott and join the chase but I had been telling myself all day, take it easy, take it easy (had to say it a lot).............and that I did (never mind the hill climb at the rock quarry)

AJ, you better get up there. It's closed in the winter.

Wasn't in much of a picture taking mood, as I was trying to soak up the beautiful day. But here's a few.

Squaw Peak

Hood. I think I see some climbers...the lead one has a green backpack....and they're eating raisins!

Uh, what did that sign by the gate at the bottom of the road say? I couldn't read it - I was going too fast - but I think it said, "Come on up, racetrack is open"!

Thanks for throwing the ride out there RR . BTW - Turned at the Hanger, and ran back down Clackamas River Hwy to OC - My preferred route home. Would have siganaled you, but my horn stopped working on this ride...it was one of those kind of rides.

Til, next time.

When you were up on Squaw, was this thing still there?

I was up there in July and saw a big container off the trail. A month later, the container was gone and that mobile radio tower showed up at the top. I assume it was helicopter'd up there.. the trail seems too narrow to trailer something that big.

It was only 90 miles from Clackamas to Government Camp where we fueled up..................then another 90 miles for the route home
