Saturday Scappoose Pisgah

Well? Anybody? Meet say 8:30-9:00 at the McDonals/gas station by Fred Meyer in Scappoose. Go look for the old cemetery and then whatever. Might get wet. Not suppose to be that cold though. Wet or Cold not bad. Wet and cold.

nice ride

Did not find any cemetery. The map in my Garmin actually shows a cemetery marked on it. Same location as the coordinates that I had. Looked around some did not see anything. Very dense shrubbery in the area. I am fairly certain that one is there. Just don't know if there is any evidence of it left. Went down to Gunners Lake. Then over to the old train tunnel by Vernonia Hwy. Over through to Cochran pond, and the old mill site.

Thanks Catflap for the company and showing me the old mill. Had fun hope you didn't get soaked on the way home. Took the gravel over the hill.

That was a fun day!

Yeah I bet the cemetery had wooden crosses that are long gone instead of headstones so might be hard to find. Maybe another day we can head back out there with a few more riders and search a bit better. Was thick in there though.
The house foundations were cool though.

I got lucky and the rain held off for the most part all the way home, just a few sprinkles. Took side roads to Portland after stopping in North Plains for gas and some food. Then took backroads again from Troutdale to Sandy since I wasn't getting dumped on.
