My 450 SCR

Another bike I re-did and...did not like (pain to start with the kick on the left, not enough torque for my taste..).

Dragged my 1974 Stornello out from the back of the shed yesterday....a bit of work and it's a runner. It'll take a bit more work to make it road worthy again though. Last run about 10 years ago, and last used on the road in 1988....I've had it from new. 13,000 original km.

Thanks to everyone or sharing all these bikes. What an awesome thread! I am building a 1966 Ducati Monza Jr. The thread can be found at:

I hope to have the bike completed in the next few weeks and then I will post a picture here.

Aermacchi Harley Sprint 12 V Tympanium Rectifier-Regulator?

I need a 12 V rectifier-regulator for a 73' Aermacchi-Harley Sprint. The alternator is providing 20-40 volts AC twice (BN-BK and GR-BK). I have a Tympanium rectifier-regulator. It has only two cables in. If I measure the DC voltage on the output, it is only 8 volts. Who has any experience with that type of rectifier or can suggest a better suited for the alternator?

Check out Electrex World. I upgraded my ignition for my Duc 250 from them. It's much nicer than stock.

This is Jeff's 250. He restored it when he was 16 ,then beat it up a few years and left it at his parents home. Luckily they kept it for him and he re-restored it to this condition.
He rides it quite a bit and let me have a go on it this weekend. Cool bike.

And this is Tim's 250. He and Jeff ride/race around together.

Jody firing up Don's new racer. A 250 sleeved down to make a 5 speed 200cc motor for 200GP.

The new 200 and the short stroke 350 loaded for the trip to Gratton.

We all showed up to celebrate the first fifty years of Don's shop. Don is in the center.

All owned and sadly gone now, really wish I still had the Segale though.

So. Is everyone aware of the story behind these bikes? If not, and you're into Italian Singles, then you probably should be !!!
