Thanks guys. I too am sick of SBC powered hot rods. This was my favorite car even though I had many way more expensive rods. I built this one in about 6 months. The coolest part was that I put in a T5 manual overdrive so it cruised at 70 just above an idle.

You sir, get a giant thumbs UP!

That is a fabulous car. The flathead with Offy heads and proper Stromberg carbs is just RIGHT. I bet it runs sweet with that tranny. Those engines are so smooth at low rpm.

We'll forgive the alternator swap...

A buddy of mine is getting married next weekend. He's into hot rods and stuff. So I made up a sign. I need to clean up some lines and add "est. 5-12-12" yet, but it's turning out well for beining a pinstripe NoOb and never lettering before.

Emanuel King @ Cattail Foundry in Gordonville, PA. I've been very happy with the work he's done for me.

I picked up this nice C-man grinder; guards were missing:

A gal on the west coast picked up a like grinder; hers had the guards, but no tool rests. She sent her guards and I sent my tool rests to Cattail, and now we both have complete grinders. Here's my grinder with it's spiffy new guards:
