thanks, that was the smaller size jack I could find. I was going to re-do the frame with steel now that I have a welder, but the wood is no showing any sing of fatigue.. :)

Q: I can't figure out the type of wood the cover is ( I assume you made that as well - or did it come with the pan?)
It's just 1/4" teak paneling glued back to back that I had left over from a marine job I did.

The front walk is a year old now and it's held up pretty well given our Colorado weather.

Took a piece of 4130 and bent on it for a while,

cut and welded on it for a bit,

powder coated it,

and turned it into this.

If you are only pkanning on building a rack or two and don't need one that will last a lifetime you can get the chinese copies of that tool at Harbor Freight.
I have both a Rigid and the HF version.
The Rigid was $90 and only works one size. But will last through daily use for years.
The HF was about $6 and can do several sizes. But will break if I try to make a living with it.
Found the link and it was cheaper than I thought.

Kinda hare to jutify $90 just to make one rack in my book.
BTY, these work great for brake lines and soft metals. ( The reason I have one)
But, I have a JD2 with most of the dies so I bend a lot of tubing with my investment,

Thought I'd throw that out for you budget concious guys.
