Too funny, sold old Jim a GS some years back. I'm reading a ride report of his and he's ragging on the PO. Seems the PO (me) left a ziplock bag of latex medical gloves on the bike, which he was now using to complete a repair. Old Jim had some snide remarks about the PO and the gloves - Old Jim is a douche...these responses are how he gets his count to over 35K....

Back to shiny things.....

My turn to show off...

Here's a few things that I've made in the last three years:

The bike, not the kids. I designed and built the bicycle and wooden box.

I built custom triple clamps and rear swingarm so I could install UTV wheels on my dirtbike, made it a real sand rocket!

A hitch mounted lift to carry my motorcycle.

And an adventure trailer for my dual sport motorcycle

I kinda like building things!!!

Most of my stuff comes out of my wood shop...

Some pencil boxes for gifts:

A drum booth for my church:

A grandfather clock:

A pedestal for my Sable mount:

An entertainment center from oaks on my property, with stained glass:

It WORKED! Well, the second time anyways...

First attempt- I could get a fart or two out of it but it wouldnt run. Thought maybe more heat would help- turns out pop can aluminum melts REALLY easily.

Second attempt. Bought some *quality* cans- they even say CANADA on 'em. Re-did the cans, added some steel wool to the displacer, and built a new diaphragm. Took a little while to heat up but once it was going it ran like a top! Used my pop-can backpacking stove to heat it up even.

Got it running and had to holler for my wife to come take a picture... so she snapped one of my ugly mug.

Next step- build a stand for it.

Not as impressive as some of the projects you wood-wonders and engineers have made, but my daughter gets the best homemade cakes around for her birthday parties. Yes, I know I need to buy a pack of those white cardboard cake bases, haha. My wife cooks the savouries in our house, and I BAKE. everything!

And continuing The Nightmare Before Christmas theme, she wanted to be Sally for Halloween this year. So I made the dress (yay for iron-on hem tape!), put the accessories together and did her hair & makeup. She is in kindergarten.
