Looking at all this great stuff makes me want to go out in the shop and stick some things together. Pablo83, you really make me want to get back in to my steel work.
A dragonfly, might actually get finished for the Wifes Christmas present. ![]() Hammered copper rose, I did for Mothers day. ![]() Another present for Mom, steel sheet, it windmills. ![]() Modded Nerf Maverick in a repurposed silverware case. ![]() Replica of the Machete from Book of Eli(Got the grip wrap wrong) ![]() ![]() Another Nerf, just a paint job ![]() Big wheel converted Snapper with swapped pumper engine for slope mowing ![]() Jokers paring knife, the proportion is off, it was a first try :)

Here's some of my blacksmith work. Kind of rough, but keep in mind both of there were made with just a hammer, a forge and an anvil.
Tomahawk - beeswax finish, curly mable handle, pewter inlay. Has a drillbit forge welded into the blade edge for durability. Thinking about polishing it instead... ![]() Small piece of jewelry made from stacking, then forge welding and deforming 6 quarters.

I like this! I am super impressed with forge welding. Seems impossible.

For the quarters, did you file one to get shavings and put the shavings between each quarter first, or just get them red and start hammering?

The only thing I'd add is to deform the face in a random way (makes nicer pattern) and to use a set of tongs you don't care much about. http://paleoplanet69529.yuku.com/top...l#.Ts5F_2Avo_s |
