Ram balls

we have been having so many problems with RAM balls - deforming and not being able to tighten them being the two most obvious - that Erik decided to machine up some of his own for all the dutch guys complaining about crappy RAM balls

Deformed rubber RAM ball on the left, and nice machined alloy ball with thread for mirror mounting (Double take mirrors) on the right.

Does this include a actual place to put an allen wrench on top to tighten? Why the original ram balls didn't come with a hex below the ball still confuses me.

Ah ... I used this special plastic paint:

http://www.krylon.com/products/fusion_for_plastic/

And I THINK I used colour "Satin Khaki", and "gloss black" (also Krylon Fusion) for the front fender.

Bit worried where this thread is heading with all the talk about ram balls and soft bags going on.c

I think you mounted the BMW badge too high and probably before fitting the indicators.

Trying to find the yellow and blue colour scheme though!

So, Crashed on both sides Walter
Breaking points on both sidepanels....

I'll add pictures on mine when i come home in the middle of May.
I'm trying to figure out wich sigarett brand or liqour brand i'm decorating the bike with this time?
(I have a personal vendetta against Norwegian laws for comercial, but then again, i'm Norwegian and probably frost damaged in the head annyway...)

Hey Frode

The lower fairing mounting points are only tied up because the brackets to mount them are getting powdercoated :)

The BMW badges have to be there - because there thats an imperfection in the mold, from where the KTM originally had its indicators mounted. You have to cover that spot up with something - might as well be the BMW badges

Everything is for a reason mate

Its a real shock riding this after the husaberg. Feels like I am behind the wheel of a battleship - so much more momentum and inertia ... but so incredibly stable. Really looking forward to touring on it again this year. The Berg is a lot of fun but also a lot of work for distance stuff.
