I'd guess a KZ750 twin, but this doesn't jive with the seller's pronoucement that it is a 88 or 89 - I think the last KZ750 twin was in 1983 or so.

Looks like it's in nice shape and they are cool bikes but this -

"They only made the V Twin for 2 years and is a highly sought after and collectors bike. I brought it to a dealer here in town and they advised me to never get rid of it. They said to park it in the back of the garage and sell it in like 25 years for 25 grand."

He's overstating that a fair amount. Despite his bloated claims at least the starting price isn't too bad.
